How much pack space do I need?
Start with the items: water, food, an extra layer and small essentials. Compare their bulk with the listed capacity and dimensions. A liter figure measures storage volume; it does not tell you how much weight is comfortable for you. Our pack guide walks through the decision.
Why do some products list a capacity range?
Some pack specifications use a range rather than one exact figure. We keep that range instead of guessing a more precise volume. Use documented dimensions and the opening layout alongside capacity, and ask us if you need help comparing.
Which materials should I compare?
Nylon and polyester packs offer different pocket and carrying layouts; PVC roll-top designs use another style of opening. Canvas options have a more substantial fabric feel. Check each product for its stated material. No general material name guarantees that a bag will protect contents from immersion.
How should I care for my pack?
Empty the bag and brush away loose dirt. For a small mark, start with a soft damp cloth and let the bag air dry fully before storing. Follow any care instructions supplied with your item. Avoid machine washing, harsh solvents or a hot dryer unless the item instructions explicitly allow them.
Where can my order be delivered?
Our delivery area is the contiguous 48 states, using street addresses. Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and military APO/FPO/DPO destinations are outside that area. See the Shipping Policy for address details.
How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?
Processing takes 1–3 business days. Transit follows and takes 3–7 days. Standard shipping is $6.99 below a $59 merchandise subtotal; at $59 or more after discounts and before tax, standard shipping is free.
How do I return a pack?
Contact us within 30 days after delivery, or follow the return instructions in our Refund Policy. Keep the item unused with its original packaging. Returns go to John Oney Outfitters LLC, 4746 Kanakanak Rd, Dillingham, AK 99576. We cover return postage for a quality defect, wrong item or transit damage; for other reasons, return postage is yours to cover.
When is a refund issued?
Inspection takes 3–5 business days after the return reaches us. Once approved, we initiate the refund to the original payment method. The date it appears in your account is controlled by your bank or payment provider.
